Healthy Clean Snacks My Kids Actually Like
Share

As parents, we try to keep packaged snacks to a minimum. That said, real life happens. Whether we’re heading to sports, travelling, spending a day outdoors, or simply need something convenient, there are a handful of packaged snacks that have earned a regular spot in our pantry.
These are some of our family’s favourite snack options made with simple ingredients, without artificial colours, and a little closer to what we’d choose to make at home ourselves.

1. Wedderspoon Manuka Honey Pops
These are one of those treats we keep tucked away for long car rides, flights, and the occasional special snack. They’re sweetened with Manuka honey and feel a little different from the typical lollipop options you’ll find at most stores.
Our Notes
- Perfect for flights during takeoff and landing when little ears need help adjusting to pressure changes
- Something we often reach for when a sore throat starts bothering the kids
- Simple ingredient list compared to many conventional lollipops
2. Amara Organic Smoothie Melts
We’ve been buying these for years. The texture is light and crunchy, and they dissolve easily, which made them a favourite when our children were younger. Even now, they still disappear quickly whenever we open a bag.
Our Notes
- Made from fruits, vegetables, and coconut milk
- Convenient for sports bags, travel, and busy days
- One of the snacks we’ve consistently repurchased
3. Baby Gourmet Mushies
These were a staple during the toddler years and continue to be something we keep on hand. They’re made from freeze-dried fruit and are incredibly convenient when you need a quick snack without worrying about mess.
Our Notes
- Small pieces that are easy for little hands to eat
- Easy to share between siblings
- Made with organic ingredients
4. Mogli Cocoa Cookies
These cookies feel a little more special than an everyday snack. We often serve them alongside yogurt or kefir for a simple snack that feels a bit more substantial.
Our Notes
- Organic ingredients
- Rich cocoa flavour without being overly sweet
- Delicious paired with yogurt and/or kefir
- A favourite afternoon treat in our home
5. Mogli Pizza Sticks
These are one of our favourite savoury snacks when everyone is tired of sweet options. They work well in lunchboxes and are easy to bring along for sports practices or park days.
Our Notes
- Crunchy and satisfying
- Organic ingredients
- Nice alternative to crackers and chips
6. Mogli Spelt Pretzels
A pantry staple for us. They’re simple, crunchy, and one of those snacks that both kids and adults seem to reach for.
Our Notes
- Made with spelt flour
- Easy lunchbox addition
- Travels well for road trips
7. Mogli Fruit Stripes
These are often the first snack our kids grab when they’re looking for something sweet. They remind us of traditional fruit leather but with a shorter ingredient list.
Our Notes
- Fruit-based snack
- Easy to keep in a purse or backpack
- Great for busy days
8. Bear Fruit Splits
Bear snacks have been in our pantry for years. They’re one of the easiest grab-and-go options when we’re heading out the door.
Our Notes
- Made primarily from fruit
- Fun for kids because many packs include collectible cards inside
- Consistently a family favourite
9. Bob Snail Fruit Rolls
If you’ve followed us for a while, you’ve probably seen these before. Bob Snail fruit rolls are one of the snacks we purchase most often. We love that they’re made mostly from fruit and come in so many flavour combinations.
Our Notes
- Short ingredient list
- Available in many flavours
- A staple in our pantry
10. Bioitalia Organic Fruit Puree
These pouches are incredibly convenient for travel days and outings. They’re easy to keep in a bag and have saved us more than once when someone suddenly needed a snack.
Our Notes
- Organic fruit puree
- No preparation required
- Convenient for younger children
11. Kirkland Organic Dried Pineapple
One of our favourite Costco purchases. The natural sweetness makes it feel like a treat, and it’s often the first thing to disappear after a grocery run.
Our Notes
- Made from dried pineapple
- A family favourite for that sweet-and-sour flavour combination
- Feels like a treat while still being a simple ingredient snack
12. NoochPop “Kinda Cheesy” Popcorn
Movie nights at home usually include a bowl of this popcorn. The nutritional yeast gives it a savoury flavour that’s different from traditional cheese popcorn.
Our Notes
- Made with nutritional yeast for its naturally cheesy flavour
- Contains simple ingredients, including olive oil
- Free from many of the artificial flavours and additives commonly found in flavoured popcorn
- A savoury snack that both kids and adults enjoy reaching for together

Where We Buy These Snacks
Most of these snacks can be found throughout Canada at:
- Walmart
- Amazon
- Well.ca
- Nature’s Emporium
- Ambrosia
- Longo’s
- Fortinos
- Winners
- Marshalls
One thing we’ve learned is that Winners and Marshalls can be surprisingly good places to discover healthier snack brands at discounted prices.
Our Approach to Snacks
We don’t aim for perfection, and we don’t believe every snack needs to be homemade. For us, it’s about finding a balance.
When we do buy packaged foods, we try to choose options with recognizable ingredients, fewer additives, and flavours our children genuinely enjoy.
These are simply the products that have worked well for our family and continue to make their way back into our shopping cart.
What are your favourite healthier snack finds? We’d love to discover some new ones. 🤍
